
Dr. Zlatko Sabol
Qualifications
Throughout his career, Dr. Sabol has completed numerous training courses in Croatia and abroad, acquiring diagnostic skills in pediatric neurology and orthopedics. He has participated in many congresses and conferences. He earned a master’s degree with a thesis on hip instability in Međimurje, and his Ph.D. focused on early signs of type 1 neurofibromatosis in children.
Publications
He has published over 130 scientific papers in the fields of epileptology, developmental pediatrics, and neurofibromatosis, and has been involved in numerous research projects. He is the editor of five pediatric handbooks and the author of a book on type 1 neurofibromatosis.
Membership
He has been elected three times as Vice President of the Croatian Society for Pediatric Neurology and has served on the Board of Directors of the Croatian League Against Epilepsy, which awarded him a recognition in 2018 for his contributions to epileptology. He is a member of various national and international professional organizations. He co-founded the Croatian Academy for Developmental Rehabilitation, the Croatian Society for Clinical Genetics, and the Croatian Neurofibromatosis Association, where he is honorary lifelong president. Since 2014, he has been an honorary member of the Croatian Medical Association.
